Bright lights, big trips

City & Culture

Shopping, street food, museums, skylines and late nights. City-break itineraries from Bangalore for travellers who want everything within walking distance — or a metro ride away.

City breaks are the most efficient way to use a short holiday. Our city programmes are built around the things Bangalore travellers actually do — eat well, shop, see two or three signature sights, and not waste time on transfers. We pick hotels by district, not by star rating alone, so you walk less and see more.

Why book city & culture breaks with Oyster

Hotels picked by district, not star rating

A 4-star in the right neighbourhood beats a 5-star in the wrong one. We know which Bangkok hotels save you 30 minutes per day of transit.

Visa work handled end-to-end

Dubai, Singapore, Vietnam e-Visas done from our Bangalore office. Thailand VoA + TDAC paperwork pre-arranged.

Indian food on tap when you want it

We list working Indian restaurants in each city. You decide when to use the list. We never force it — just make sure it is there.

Day-by-day pacing

City trips fail when overpacked. We propose two anchor activities per day with deliberate downtime, not nine sights from a brochure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which city break is best for a first international trip from Bangalore?
For most Bangalore first-timers, the recommendation is Dubai (3-5 days), Singapore (4-6 days), or Bangkok (4-5 days). All three have direct flights, easy or quick visa, good Indian food, and enough variety that nobody in the family gets bored. We are happy to compare specific itineraries on WhatsApp.
Has Thailand's visa changed? Can we still go?
Yes, you can absolutely still go — only the visa mechanism has changed. Following the 19 May 2026 Thai Cabinet decision, Indians moved from 60-day visa-exempt to Visa on Arrival (15-day stay, fee around 2,000 THB). For longer stays, you apply for a Thailand e-Visa. TDAC (the digital arrival card) is mandatory either way. Our visa team handles the paperwork.
What is the difference between a 'city break' and a regular tour?
City breaks are short (3-6 nights), focused on one or two cities, light on transfers and heavy on the experience. Regular tours often add a beach or hill add-on. City breaks are great for couples, business travellers extending a trip, or families wanting a focused first international experience.
Are Singapore and Malaysia better booked together?
Often yes — the SIN/KL combination shares one long flight, easy short-hop transfer, and complementary experiences (Singapore for kids and shopping, Malaysia for variety and lower cost). 5-7 nights covers both. See Singapore + Malaysia packages or WhatsApp us.
Can you handle vegetarian or Jain food in cities like Bangkok or Hanoi?
Yes. Bangkok, KL, Singapore and Dubai are excellent for vegetarian / Jain food — many fully-Indian restaurants. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh take a little more planning but we list specific spots that work. Tell us your dietary needs upfront and we will brief the local team.
