Book Cappadocia balloon rides in advance. They're weather-dependent - have backup days in your itinerary. Flights happen at sunrise and are worth waking up early for.

Dress Code

Cover shoulders and knees when visiting mosques. Women should carry a headscarf. Shoes are removed before entering mosques - socks recommended.

Food

Turkish cuisine is largely vegetarian-friendly. Rice, bread, and grilled vegetables are staples. Indian restaurants available in Istanbul. Try baklava and Turkish tea!
