Tips

Oman Travel Tips from Bangalore

Easy Visa

Indians can apply for an Oman e-visa online (OMR 20, approved in 1-3 days, valid 30 days). Much simpler than many Middle Eastern countries. We process it as part of your package.

Direct Flights

Oman Air operates direct flights from Bangalore to Muscat (4 hours). Air India Express and IndiGo also fly this route. Very convenient with multiple daily options.

Dress Modestly

Oman is conservative. Cover shoulders and knees in public areas, especially at mosques. Women should carry a headscarf for mosque visits. Beachwear is fine at hotel beaches and pools.

Rent a 4WD

Many of Oman's best attractions (wadis, mountains, desert) require a 4WD vehicle. We arrange 4WD transfers and tours. Self-driving is also popular as Oman roads are excellent.

Friday is the Weekend

Oman's weekend is Friday-Saturday. Many attractions and souks may have different Friday timings. Grand Mosque is closed to non-Muslim visitors on Fridays.
