Why Japan?

Japan is a destination that defies expectations at every turn. One moment you're walking through a 1,000-year-old bamboo forest, the next you're in a neon-lit metropolis with robots serving your dinner. This unique blend of ancient and futuristic makes Japan unlike anywhere else on Earth.

For Indian travelers, Japan offers an incredibly safe, clean, and efficient travel experience. The public transport is legendary, the food is an art form, and the Japanese hospitality (omotenashi) will leave you feeling genuinely cared for.

Practical Tips for Japan

JR Pass

The Japan Rail Pass offers unlimited travel on JR trains including most Shinkansen. Buy before arriving - it saves significant money if traveling between cities.

Cash Society

Japan still uses cash extensively. Carry Japanese Yen - 7-Eleven ATMs accept international cards. Cards accepted at major stores but not small restaurants.

Food for Vegetarians

Vegetarian food can be challenging - fish stock (dashi) is common. Learn to say "Watashi wa bejitarian desu." Indian restaurants available in major cities.

Etiquette

Remove shoes indoors, don't tip, bow when greeting, be quiet on trains, and don't eat while walking. Japanese appreciate when visitors respect their customs.
