Why Uttarakhand

The soul of the Himalaya — spirituality, hill stations and adventure in one trip

Uttarakhand is where the Ganga comes down from the mountains and where India comes to pray, unwind and breathe. In one trip you can stand at the Ganga aarti in Rishikesh and Haridwar, ride a boat across Nainital's lake, watch the mist roll over Mussoorie, track a tiger in Jim Corbett, and look out over snow-dusted peaks from Auli. It is the rare destination that satisfies pilgrims, families and adventure-lovers in equal measure.

For our Bangalore travellers, it is an easy switch from city life to clean Himalayan air. From the spiritual pull of Kedarnath and Badrinath to white-water rafting and bungee jumps near Rishikesh, every itinerary can be shaped around what you want — a calm spiritual retreat, a family hill-station holiday, or a proper mountain adventure.

Travel tips from our team

  • For Char Dham, plan early — registration is mandatory and the yatra season (~May–Oct) is crowded; helicopter slots sell out fast
  • Carry warm layers even in summer; evenings in Auli, Mussoorie and the shrines stay cold
  • The Valley of Flowers is only Jul–Sep (monsoon) — expect rain and possible landslide delays, so keep buffer days
  • Mountain roads are winding — carry motion-sickness medication and avoid heavy meals before long drives
  • Rishikesh is a holy city — it is largely vegetarian and alcohol-free
  • Tell us your travel month so we can match hills, pilgrimage or adventure
FAQs

Uttarakhand, answered

When is the best time to visit Uttarakhand?

March–June for the hill stations, September–November for clear mountain views. Char Dham runs roughly May–October, the Valley of Flowers blooms July–September, and Auli is best for snow December–February. Tell us your month and we match the right circuit.

How many days do I need?

Five to six nights. A 5-night Hills & Ganga circuit covers Nainital, Mussoorie, Rishikesh and Haridwar; a full Char Dham or Do Dham pilgrimage needs 6–8 nights by road or helicopter.

Can you arrange Char Dham with Rishikesh?

Yes — we plan Char Dham and Do Dham pilgrimages by road or helicopter and combine them with Rishikesh and Haridwar; the yatra is seasonal (~May–October) and needs early planning.

How do I reach Uttarakhand from Bangalore?

Fly to Dehradun — a few direct flights (~2h55m), most options one-stop via Delhi (~5–6h); then a scenic drive, which we arrange.

What is included in the package?

Return flights, hotels, daily breakfast, all transfers and sightseeing by private vehicle. Char Dham helicopter charters, rafting and safari permits can be added.
